Lloret de Mar
Lloret de Mar is a coastal town in Catalonia on the Mediterranean primarily known as a tourist resort. It is adjacent to Blanes and Tossa de Mar and is 75 kilometers from Barcelona. With a population of 37,350 (as of 2018) it is the second largest town in the Selva comarca (county) of Catalonia. During the tourist season, the number of people in Lloret (both inhabitants and tourists) often reaches 1.200,000. For decades it has attracted summer visitors on package tours, mainly from northern Europe, and it is now the most important resort in the Costa Brava.
